In Search of Pie

This past weekend I traveled 70 miles in search of pie. My sister had heard about this amazing little pie place in Stockholm WI, a town with a population of 66, and we packed up our dad and my niece and nephew and hit the road. Stockholm is a sleepy little town on Lake Pepin (which is not a lake at all, but rather a wide part of the Mississippi River) with an Amish furniture store and a Swedish kitsch store, but no grocery or gas station. And the pie — the five of us shared peanut butter chocolate mousse, apple apple crisp, chocolate pecan, and blackberry pear– was delicious.
