On the Golden Gate Bridge, this is apparently a thing that people do that I’ve never noticed before: padlocks, engraved with couples’ names, locked to a chainlink fence (the one that prevents you from jumping until you get a little farther out on the bridge).

I think it’s sweet. There were only a handful there; they must come around every so often and cut them off. Too bad. I would like to see the entire fence covered with locks.
